Squeaky Chains is a community organisation delivering free bike maintenance workshops to vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community. We receive donations of bikes from a number of sources and use these in the workshops to teach the students the art of bike maintenance. Those that successfully complete the workshop are entitled to take the bike they have restored home with them.
In order to continue this work in the community, Squeaky Chains sells some of the bikes it has restored either in the Squeaky Chains shop (33 Rushworth Street, Southwark, SE1 0RB ) or on its eBay shop. All the proceeds from sales are directly used to help Squeaky Chains sustain its work in the community.
